We recently connected with Emily and asked her about makeup journey … check out our Q&A:
TJ: When did you first discover your passion for makeup?
ES: Right when I first started wearing it! Right from the start I wore tons of eyeliner and ever since then I’ve just loved it! I even made a few tutorials years ago but I never had the courage to post at the time. I think deep down I always wanted to pursue makeup.
TJ: What’s your favorite thing about makeup?
ES: There are no rules to makeup! I think it’s great that anyone can do what they want with it and create however they see fit. There are no right or wrong answers!
TJ: Your makeup looks are so creative … where do you find your inspiration?
ES: Thank you! I actually don’t look for inspiration or usually plan looks. I just sit down and start creating and see what comes to me! I really pride myself on the fact that almost all of my ideas are organic.
TJ: What’s the one makeup product you can’t live without?
ES: My favorite daily product is probably just a clear lip gloss because I can just throw it on and nothing else and look a bit more put together for day to day. But if we’re talking about being on an island and I can only bring one product, I would probably bring a liquid lipstick; it’s so versatile and can be used for brows, liner, lipstick, eyeshadow and contour if you blend enough!
TJ: What is your favorite Tattoo Junkee product and why?
ES: The eyeliners! I’ve been using the same one for months and it has stayed as black as the day I started using it and the tip is as sharp as ever!
TJ: What’s the one piece of advice you have for everyone out there? What words do you live by?
ES: My only advice is to just be yourself and not worry about what anyone else has to say. People will talk about you regardless, so you might as well just do what makes you happy!
